What I’m Doing Now
Last updated: July 2026
This page is a snapshot of what has my attention right now. It’s intentionally temporary. If you’re reading this a few months from now, there’s a good chance some of it has changed.
Building
I’m building Compass, this website, almost entirely in collaboration with ChatGPT. It’s been a fun excuse to dive back into WordPress development, improve my Git workflow, and create a place to document what I’m learning.
Along the way I’m trying to be intentional about the process—building one feature at a time instead of chasing every new idea.
The source code lives on GitHub, where I’m treating this like a real software project rather than just another website.
Work
Professionally, I’m focused on improving marketing operations through better systems.
Lately that has meant a lot of work around Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, documentation, data discovery, and making complex marketing platforms easier to understand and maintain.
Training
I’m balancing CrossFit with marathon training as I prepare for the Tupelo Marathon.
Running has always reminded me that consistency beats intensity. The same lesson seems to apply to almost everything worth doing.
Learning
Right now I’m spending a lot of time learning about:
- AI-assisted software development
- Salesforce Data Cloud
- Marketing Operations
- WordPress theme development
- Git and GitHub workflows
Currently Enjoying
A few things I’ve been enjoying lately:
- The Acquired podcast (especially the Walt Disney episode)
- Exploring Claude and ChatGPT as development partners
- Watching Justified and Widow’s Bay
This page is inspired by Derek Sivers’ “Now” idea. It’s meant to answer one simple question: what has my attention right now?
